People.
My tribute to the late, great Elliot Smith.
An amazing musician who sadly ended his
life back in 2003.
Haha, I said I was finished. I lied.

The King of Nothing
This work started as a paper mache mask made in art class.
It was painted and otherwise finished. But after looking at it again,
I decided it needed to be repainted. Several failed attempts of repainting the mask
and I pretty much ruled it a lossed cause. For some reason I decided not to give up.
Glued it to a canvas and painted away. Resulting in the finished product.
Enjoy.

far from home.
"Snail Mail", photo collage
"Gold", photo collage
"Lead us not into Temptation", photo collage
These are some recent collages. I like the idea of taking things out of their
context and introducing them into new, unfamiliar environments. This works very well with
the photos I've been using from 60's national geographics. I plan to do as many more of these as
possible. They don't involve a whole lot of work, other than actually finding the right pictures, but they're just fun and rewarding.

Long necked lady.
Acrylic on stretched canvas
I actually did this for school (art history class), the assignment was to create a mannerist portrait.
I thought this turned out pretty well, I wish I could do more like this, but I haven't had the inspiration yet.
